Whatever happened to.............?

Here are details of some of the former pupils and staff who have made contact through this website. There is also the Society's Forum, which is worth looking at.

These details are given purely so that former friends/colleagues can make contact with them.

If you are looking for someone who doesn't appear here, then e-mail the society, so we can try to put you in contact. There is, of course the full Members directory, which is also available on request. If you are out of touch, why not re-join the society. This is open to friends as well as ex-pupils and staff. If you haven't been to a re-union for a while it would be great to see you.

Dear Sirs,

I would be grateful if any member could help me in locating any College record of my great uncle Wallis Walter Searle (1889 - 1971), who according to family sources, was a physical education teacher at St. Michael's from ca. 1912, until 1915.

On leaving to join the Army to fight in France, his Attestation paper in 1915 described his occupation as Lay Clerk, to which the recruiting sergeant had added 'Singing' (!), and his last address was St. Michael's College, Tenbury Wells. His occupation of Lay Clerk leads me to believe he may well have been a member of the Choir at St. Michaels, and if this, or any detail of his time spent at the College could be confirmed, it would be of great interest to me.

After the war, he took up an appointment as Lay Clerk with the choir of the Chapels Royal at Windsor in 1920, where he remained until his retirement in the 1950's. He was honoured by her Majesty The Queen in 1956 with the Royal Victorian Medal (Silver).

If anyone could help in locating anything at all about my great uncle's time at St. Michael's, I would of course be most grateful.

Sincerely,

Mike Searle,

After receiving the reunion letter and going on line it would be exciting to communicate with former class mates.
Well done for setting up this site, first impressions are excellent,
I've yet to explore properly.

I left mid 70's and echo the comments of keeping in touch with other old boys via the site.

Dear SMC,
I was a pupil at St Michael’s College in the late 1960s and early 1970s and I would like to get in touch with others who were there at the same time.

I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,

Timothy Walker

Because St.Michael's is no longer the College it was, I have no inkling to return to the building itself, but I do like to hear from different sources what Old Boys are up to, and reminisce, I have to admit looking through this site has certainly brought back memories, keep it up.

The 2006 Reunion was the Centenary of the Society and 150 years since Ouseley opened his college
